Newsletter – October 2017

Tuesday Club Nights

Regrettably we have cancelled the” Tuesday Evenings” proposed until 7th November 2017. There has been little or no attendance. This also means that we have to cancel “The Friends Night” but another will follow later in the month. The committee would welcome any feedback from members.

Events

This has been awarded to Julia Booth for her services to the club during 2016/2017.

Don’t forget that your subs are overdue if you have not paid yet.
The Treasurers has reported that our current account stands at:
£17,723 with £40 cash
Also it is still not possible to pay your subs by BACS but if you have a problem with this please contact the Treasurer.

Future Auditions

We will be holding auditions for the Murder Mystery on 7th November 2017. We already have four bookings! There is very little to learn and there will only be a few rehearsals. So book the date in the diary. More detail will follow but if you have any questions please contact Jan 01305 782964.

Productions

The Hollow – Agatha Christie

There have been a couple of cast changes to the previously advertised list. Gerda will now be played by Julia Booth and Henrietta will be played by returning member Sue Cowley.
This production will be at the Pavilion in November. The production dates are 2-4 November 2017.

You can book tickets via the Weymouth Pavilion Website (accessed by pressing the orange button on the top left-hand side of this website). Alternatively you can call the Box office on 01305 783225. Don’t miss this classic play!

We are hoping to put up some large posters on boards throughout town. If you have a suitable position at your home or business please contact Jan and the boys will come and fix it!

So What is next……..

We have plays being read and we are always looking for new plays, new directors, new ideas. If you would like to consider putting a play forward, please come and talk to one of the committee at opening night. We are here to support you and it is not as daunting as it might first seem.
