The 39 Steps – Auditions – 9 January 2018

The club will be presenting Patrick Barlow’s hilarious adaptation of John Buchan’s The 39 Steps at The Pavilion Theatre – 19th to 21st April 2018.

The play was a smash hit in London and across the world and toured the United Kingdom to much acclaim.

It is based on the 1936 Hitchcock film. The Weymouth Drama Club production will feature seven actors playing all the estimated 139 roles. The play is very much an ensemble piece. One actor plays only Richard Hannay, whilst the other six actors; three men and three women play the other 138 scripted and improvised roles. The actors can be of any age and type, but they must be fit to cope with the fast physical pace of the play.

Open auditions will take place at the Warehouse on Tuesday 9th January starting at 7.45pm. Members and prospective members are welcome to audition. Please spread the word and encourage anyone you know who might be interested to audition.
